Guiding You on Your ADHD Journey

ADHD path to clarity
Consultation

What we do

Adult ADHD Northwest is a specialist private clinic offering comprehensive assessment and treatment for adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Founded and led by Dr Joe Johnson, Consultant Psychiatrist with over 15 years’ experience in ADHD diagnosis and treatment, our service combines clinical expertise with compassionate care. We offer video consultations to adults across the UK and beyond. Our approach is grounded in the latest evidence and national guidelines (NICE).  We understand the challenges ADHD can present across different stages of adult life and aim to help each patient achieve meaningful improvements in day-to-day functioning and wellbeing.

Who We See

We assess and treat:

  • Adults aged 17 years and older

  • Individuals with suspected ADHD who have never been formally assessed

  • Adults who were diagnosed in childhood and wish to re-engage with treatment

  • Patients whose ADHD was missed earlier due to co-occurring mental health issues

  • Those who have been waiting a long time for an NHS assessment and prefer to proceed privately

We strongly recommend that those wishing to access our service are referred to us by their GP as this may increase the likelihood of your GP being willing to prescribe any future prescribed medication. We also accept referrals from other clinicians and therapists.

Angela

Having done some research online, I went to see Dr Johnson for an ADHD assessment at his clinic in Warrington. Dr Johnson was very kind and caring in his approach, and was easy to talk to. I felt like he listened to everything I had to say, and was very thorough in his assessment. I have benefitted enormously from getting the right diagnosis and treatment."
